lions and tigers but no bears.

last week, we went to the zoo. something we've talked about doing forever, but just haven't yet. and with our busy summer, we thought we'd better take advantage of a free thursday morning. it was chilly and overcast--perfect weather for animal watching, if you ask me.

potter park zoo isn't exactly, huge. there were tigers, monkeys, lions, rhinos--and some other interesting things. but not bears, gorillas, elephants (my favorite), or giraffes. and though our 7 month old took a nice long nap, and our two year old seemed pretty entertained, I think the highlight may have been the plywood animal cutouts--we got a picture with every one.
